Monochrome landscape

I’m not sure of all the reasons why, but I find myself drawn to a certain style of monochrome landscape print.

Seeing this image while reviewing recent photos from a trip along the coast North of San Francisco, reminded me how wonderful a wide range of textured grays can be.

With everything from white to black, and all the shades of gray in between, you can let your eyes wander around the frame happily for quite a while.

Even better, you don’t need to spend a huge amount of money for medium-format equipment to be able to capture it with reasonably high IQ. For more details, see my previous post.
