This is a close-up panorama using the Olympus M.Zuiko ED 60mm F2.8 Macro lens on an OM-D E-M5 body.
The “ED” designation seems to make a difference now that I compare this with some of the other primes in their lineup. Several 16MP images stitched together with Photoshop made this image a keeper, and should be blown up to poster size for maximum impact. This small Olympus camera is great for this type of work. I’m hooked on it for landscape photography that’s for sure.
Robin Wong’s review got me interested in this particular lens. The weather proofing and awesome IQ for close up photos are great features. However, I have used this one for portraits and landscape panorama stitching with equally outstanding results.
The colors came out perfectly after minor exposure adjustments in Aperture and application of the Velvia 50 film simulation in Alien Skin Exposure.
You can see a full resolution version of the large format image in my portfolio.
